Deccan PU College is a new chapter in a long-standing legacy of educational excellence. Inspired by the success of Deccan International School and the visionary leadership of the K N Guruswamy Educational & Charitable Trust, established in 1988, this pre-university institution is built on strong foundations of academic integrity, innovation, and holistic development.
Rooted in the commitment to quality education, Deccan PU College is backed by the same ethos that shaped Deccan International School, founded in 2003 by Mr. K. N. Tilak Kumar, Joint Managing Director of Deccan Herald-Prajavani. Carrying forward a tradition established by Sri K. N. Guruswamy, a noted philanthropist and founder of the Deccan Herald and Prajavani Group, the institution stands for intellectual growth, discipline, and all-around excellence.

When do applications open for the 1st PUC 2026–27 academic year?
Admissions for the 2026–27 Academic Year are officially open. Prospective students are encouraged to apply early to secure their preferred subject combinations.
What documents are required for the admission process?
To complete the enrollment, please provide the following documents:
Academic: SSLC / Grade 10 Original Marks Card & Transfer Certificate (TC).
Identity: Copy of Aadhaar Card & 3 recent passport-size photographs.
Other: Migration Certificate (for CBSE/ICSE/Non-State boards) and Caste/Category Certificate (if applicable).
Contact: Valid contact details for both the student and parents.
Is there an entrance exam for 1st PUC admission?
No, we do not conduct a formal entrance exam. Instead, admission involves a personal interaction between the student, their parents, and the Principal. This allows us to understand the student’s academic background and career goals. Please bring the student’s latest report card to this meeting.
Which second languages can I choose from?
Students have the option to choose between Kannada or Hindi as their second language.
